Karur Vysya Bank is a private bank of India, the company headquartered in Karur, Tamil Nadu. The bank operates in many business segments such as corporate/ wholesale banking, retail banking and other banking services.  This bank was incorporated in 1916 after the First World War. In 1927, the first branch of Karur Vysya Bank is opened at Dindigul. Later in 1980, the bank got license to deal in foreign exchange currencies.  In 2003, the bank obtained license to work as a corporate agent for procuring or soliciting general insurance business.  Initially they made a tie up with Bajaj Alliance. During 2004- 2005 the bank introduced new loan products namely special home loan, funding scheme, Kisan scheme and gold loan scheme. And later services like ATM service, recharge of cell phone, internet banking solution for customer were introduced. The bank is presently operating more than 12 states with the network of 518 branches and extensions controlled through four regional offices at Karur, Tamil Nadu.
